But when his father passed while Jeff was just a young boy, his mother taught him his most important lesson. And so he did, never to see her again. By the time he was just eighteen, Jeff had already lost his father, said good bye to his mother and family, moved to a new country, and was working as a charge nurse for the most vulnerable of patients. Jeff spent many years in the health field including years as a Senior psych tech in the California State Hospital. Jeff cared for and worked with patients that were locked away and classified as criminally insane. He was also responsible for All the staff. He quickly became one of the youngest and most trusted supervisors due to his natural talent as a healer, teacher, and leader. He earned commendations and praise for his devotion, and selfless courage in the line of duty when he saved the life of another nurse that was attacked by a patient. When others were frozen with fear, Jeff was already taking action. The job took its toll, however, and after 20 years severe injuries forced Jeff to retire. Battered and dying, Jeff had no choice but to heal himself. This process was the beginning of a new path--his transition into a spiritual healer .
